Enemy Women: A Novel, by Paulette Jiles

Read and reviewed in March, 2003; no longer in my possession

Interesting, if a little depressing due to the subject matter.
It is a historical novel of Civil War times in the Missouri Ozarks, and how it affected the soldiers' families and other civilians.
Historical details are backed up with meticulous research. The story includes excerpts from newspaper articles of the time, letters, and diaries.
