Sixpence House, by Paul Collins

Read and reviewed in May, 2004, as part of a Bookcrossing bookring (sent from one Bookcrosser to another, finally returning to the Bookcrosser who read it first.

This was an enjoyable book, a quiet, gentle read, and also very amusing in parts - sometimes I laughed out loud! I wished Mr. Collins and his family would have stayed in Hay-on-Wye and found another house. He did read some other ads at the last. I was a little disappointed that they decided to return to the U.S. I also would have liked to know more about their landlady, Diana.

I enjoyed the book, am glad I read it, and would like to visit Hay-on-Wye sometime.
