Mary, Called Magdalene, by Margaret George

Read and reviewed in October, 2003. Sent to another Bookcrosser.

This is a fictionalized account of how Mary Magdalene's childhood and early life may have been. The author did extensive research into the daily life of New Testament biblical times. However, I found too many discrepancies between events in this novel and Scripture. As a believer, that bothers me when reading fiction based on the Bible.
