Roxanna Slade: A Novel, by Reynolds Price

Read and reviewed in December, 2010. Released later

After reading hotflash's excellent review in LiveJournal, I expressed interest in this book, and she so very kindly sent it to me!

I just finished reading Roxanna Slade this morning, and I, too, find it amazing that a man can write from the point of view of an elderly woman with such conviction. I had to keep reminding myself that this was a work of fiction, and not a memoir.
