Main Street, by Sinclair Lewis

Read and reviewed in February, 2005; released in the wild

A good book, not a riveting page-turner by today's standards, but the well-written characters and plot keeps one interested.

Carol Kennicott is the young city-bred bride of the town doctor. She has great ideas, plans and schemes for the quiet, small prairie town, but the people don't want change. They resist every idea, or worse, make fun of her and her plans.
