Heathcliff: The Return to Wuthering Heights, by Lin Haire-Sargeant

Read and reviewed in August, 2005. Sent to another Bookcrosser later

From the back cover: "...For three years Heathcliff disappeared - and transformed himself from a stableboy into a wealthy gentleman. It is these three lost years that Lin Haire-Sargeant masterfully chronicles in Heathcliff."

Well, it was interesting... Pretty far-fetched, and far-reaching, too. I almost quit reading when Jane Eyre was brought into the story, but I was almost finished, so I kept on. I would not recommend this book. So often modern "sequels" of classics just do not work, and this was one of them.
