Who Moved My Cheese? An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life, by Spencer Johnson

Read, reviewed, and released in September, 2002

An allegorical tale about mice, but really about the necessity of being flexible and able to adapt to changes in one's situation. This is a very small book, and doesn't take long to read.
(not exactly wild released) My husband took the book to work with him, and left it in the Power House Control Room. Unfortunately, you have to work at US Steel to get inside and look for the book.

Watership Down, by Richard Adams

I read and reviewed this book in August, 2002, just after I joined Bookcrossing. I'm sorry I didn't make a note saying where I got it. I don't think it was new, but in any case, I don't have it anymore.

Very good! I thoroughly enjoyed it! An allegorical story about a colony of wild rabbits in the English countryside, and how they are affected by man's "progress" and different styles of societal culture (autocratic dictatorship, democracy, benevolent captivity). Mr. Adams does a great job of endowing these rabbits and other animals with engaging personalities. The reader can't wait to find out what happens next.
